Gap Year Program

Are you ready to take a transformative step in your faith journey? Join our Discipleship Gap Year Program at Hope Mountain in the Dominican Republic, where you'll grow spiritually, serve others, and experience life-changing adventures. This program is designed for young adults aged 18-22 who are eager to deepen their relationship with God, develop leadership skills, and make a tangible impact in communities in need.

Program Highlights​

  • Comprehensive Discipleship Training: Grow in your faith through Bible study, prayer, worship, and mentorship from experienced leaders.

  • Hands-On Ministry Work: Engage in meaningful service within the HOPE Life Global ministry, including teaching or assisting our school, helping marginalized communities, serving in our churches, working on our sustainable farm, and helping with construction projects.

  • Community Outreach: Visit marginalized communities to bring hope and encouragement, building relationships and making a difference in the lives of others.

  • Cultural Immersion: Experience the vibrant culture of the Dominican Republic through excursions, community events, and opportunities to learn Spanish.

  • Counseling & Group Sessions: Participate in group counseling sessions to process your experiences and grow emotionally and spiritually.

  • Adventure & Excursions: Discover the beauty of the Dominican Republic with guided excursions, including hiking, beach trips, and exploring historical sites.

Program Details

  • Dates: January 12, 2025 - April 13, 2025

  • Ages: 18-22

  • Cost: $8,500-paid in monthly installments

    • ​Support Raising: Participants are encouraged to raise support to cover the program cost. We will provide you with ideas and resources to help you fundraise and gather the support you need.

      What’s Included: Discipleship program, ministry work, housing, meals, excursions, Spanish language learning opportunities, travel to and from the Dominican Republic (from Miami).

    • Not Included: Personal expenses and medical expenses.
